Is Roswell Even Worth Mentioning Anymore?

Posted by theparahunter on December 26, 2011 at 9:35 AM Comments comments (0)

Anybody who's even taken a gander at the field of UFO research has heard of Roswell New Mexico, the site of an incident in July of 1947. That incident was an alledged crash of a non-human craft in the New Mexico desert, just outside and near-by to the town of Roswell itself. Any researcher mildly curious about UFO's knows that the crash was plastered all over the Roswell press as a flying saucer that crashed and was recovered by the military. They know that this claim was quickly retracted by...

Rules for a Zombie Apocalypse

Posted by theparahunter on September 28, 2011 at 4:15 PM Comments comments (0)

Greetings all!

Zombies are all the rage these days, sometimes literally, and I thought I would share some insights I've observed regarding the rules for typical zombie apocalypses. Depending on the movie or book you're reading about the zombies themselves, there will be certain traits regarding the creatures that are critical to understanding, and survival, within that particular story. Here are a few breakdowns of those rules.

  1. The Source: It's u...

The Three Public Elements of the UFO Phenomenon

Posted by theparahunter on August 25, 2011 at 5:10 PM Comments comments (0)

In a recent episode of The Paracast, UFO researcher  Leslie Keane expressed dismay and disappointment in the pop culture and woo-woo elements that were prominent at a UFO conference she attended within the last few weeks. It concerned Leslie that these other two elements of UFO publicity were set side-by-side with serious UFO researchers, however this trio of worlds regarding UFO’s may be more self-sustaining that many o...

Budd Hopkins - Death of a UFO Legend

Posted by theparahunter on August 22, 2011 at 8:00 AM Comments comments (0)

It is with sadness that I write of the passing of Budd Hopkins, a UFO researcher specializing in the investigations of believed-abductions of human beings by alien entities. Budd pioneered abduction phenomenon research with tools such as hypnotic regression. Budd also wrote several books on the subject and started the Intruders Foundation to assist individuals believed to have been abducted.

Throwing in the Towel

Well, as of today, officially, I've stepped down as the head of Haunted Heartland Paranormal Investigations, or HHPI. It broke my heart to do it, considering all the time, effort, and dreams I put into the organization but in the end it just got too much.

Running a paranormal group is very difficult, and it's a thankless task. The group has to be well funded, have an excellent personality dynamic, have a contan...

On a lighter note...

So I guess I've been a little negative in my most recent blog posts and thought I would lighten the mood a bit. I do apologize for that. Sometimes I just get sick of the bullshit and figure if there's any place I can rant it's on my personal blog. I mean when the Phil Imbrognos and Nancy Noitalls ooze from the wood work it tends to get to me over time.

There is a lot of negativity and egos in the field of paranormal investigations and ghost hunting, but there's a lot of posi...

"Yeah...I'm sort of a big deal around here."

I was on Facebook the other day when I came across a discussion about a demonic haunting. It seems that someone on a thread made a comment about helping with a cleansing, this weekend, due to a demonic presence that was plaguing a local family. The ghost was leaving scratches on the bodies of a man and woman and, from what I could tell, these scratches led to the believe that the haunting was a) negative and b) demonic. The experience was leaving the family and ghost hunters involved very str...

Part 2 - Demons and Demonology; A Different Perspective

Posted by theparahunter on July 23, 2011 at 6:06 PM Comments comments (2)

I don't fear demons, and I don't really know why. Perhaps it's because I'm told I'm a "cooler" or repulsor for paranormal activity and this must include demons as well. I've literally walked into a room that supposedly housed a demon, alone, and called the thing out. I've openly challenged demonic entities while standing in the area they were last seen. I dared such entities, provoked them, figurtively spitting in their faces and yet have had no adverse affects inflicted upon me. No demonic p...

Part 1 - Demons and Demonology; A Different Perspective

Posted by theparahunter on July 23, 2011 at 5:13 PM Comments comments (2)

Demonic possession is highly touted and proclaimed from the highest towers as one of the greatest dangers in the study of spirits and haunting phenomena. When it first launched, the TV show Paranormal State pushed the demonic thing pretty hard, implying in several episodes that Ryan Buell was being stalked by a demon of ancient origin. These day's it's 'hip' and 'stylish' to claim to be a demonologist working in the f...

Phil Imbrogno - The Fall of a Paranormal Hero??

Posted by theparahunter on July 6, 2011 at 9:01 PM Comments comments (7)

In March of this year, Phil Imbrogno, along with cowriter Mary Ellen Guiley (a very well respected paranormal researcher and philosopher herself), appeared on an episode of The Paracast, promoting their recently released book, The Vengeful Djinn. During the episode it was mentioned that Phil has a degree from MIT. Unfo...
